About Kismetropolis

Kismetropolis has been a long time coming. I've had the idea for oh, almost a decade now. It started life as Whimsy Driven. I actually began the strip, with artwork and everything, for Keenspace in 2001. Then my life took a turn for the lousy and I had to pack everything and move. Keenspace had little patience with me trying to get the rest of my life back on track. They only knew I'd only posted my one art piece [a tribute to Chuck Jones on his death] and hadn't posted anything else, so they killed my subscription. Emo depression ensued. I finally got my life rolling slowly in a sensible direction again, and started thinking about doing the comic again.

Then I lost everything I'd written in a crash. REALLY BIG EMO DEPRESSION ensued. Thanks to my packrat friend Knytehawke, I was able to recover most of it.

There have been lots and lots of setbacks since then, but the style of my art has had time to improve vastly. The story has morphed and grown and mutated and flourished in ways I didn't have planned.

And thanks to my boyfriend, Shay Caron, and my friend Paul Caughell, and the love and support of many, many people, Kismetropolis has become a reality. Thank you for coming along for the ride.

Feedback and such

I like feedback as long as you can keep a civil hand on your keyboard. Flames will not be taken kindly to. Time priorities are work first, then things like food and sleep, and then the comic, so please don't be offended if there is not an immediate response. I'll do my best, though.
